Does it run in a browser
Yes. Fenoxo's own page serves it through Ruffle, an emulator that runs Flash content natively in a modern browser without a plugin. You get the original game, in a current browser, with nothing installed.
There is also a community HTML port, maintained publicly on GitHub, which rebuilds the game outside Flash entirely. And the direct sequel, Corruption of Champions II, is a native web game with its own play link that the developer labels as working on PC and mobile.
So there are three routes to playing it without a download, which is three more than most games from 2011 can claim.
What you actually play
You are a champion sent into a demon realm, and the corruption in the title is a mechanic, not just flavour. Your body and your mind change based on what you do and what happens to you, and the game tracks all of it.
The transformation systems are the reason it stuck. Very few games of any genre let the player character change this much, and almost none did it in 2011.
Which version to play
If you want the original as it was, take the Ruffle version on the developer site. If you want something built for current browsers, Corruption of Champions II is the sequel and it is the smoother experience on a phone.
The HTML port sits in between. It is the original content on modern technology, maintained by the community rather than by Fenoxo.

Plenty of games in this genre owe something to Corruption of Champions, and most of them owe the same thing: the idea that the player character is not fixed. Before this, your avatar was a camera. Here, the world acts on you and the game keeps the receipts.
That single design choice is why a 2011 Flash game still gets recommended in 2026. The systems aged better than the technology did, and when the technology gave out, the community rebuilt it rather than let it go.
